I'm attending the University of Houston to earn my juris doctor and my master of public health degree. I've several years of tutoring experience dating back to high school. I can tutor students in writing, reading, elementary math, middle school math, comparative literature, ESL, reading and phonics, essay writing, algebra, and other topics. I can also help students prepare for standardized tests and admissions exams like the ISEE. I've had experience teaching ESL in South Korea. I believe the qualities of a good tutor are people who are patient, love the topics I teach, understand other cultures, and understand what students are going through. I prioritize helping students develop a full understanding of the topic as opposed to just being able to get the right answer. I find tutoring fulfilling because I have the opportunity to affect positive change in a student's life. I want to help students develop skills and knowledge that they can use throughout their academic careers. In my free time, I like to write, travel, cook, and read.
