I obtained an MBA from the University of The Virgin Islands in 05/97. My GPA was a 3.5. I also have a BBA in Finance from the University of Houston: University Park. My GPA was a 2.7. At the University of Houston, I excelled in my math and English classes. I took algebra 1 and 2, business calculus and Statistics. I did so well in these classes that I often tutored my classmates.
Experience
I have been a tutor for over 13 years. I worked for Artutoring for the last 13 years. I worked there until it closed in Jan. 2014. At Artutoring, I tutored students of all ages and all grades. I tutored them in English grammar, writing and composition, reading comprehension at all levels, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, Starr test (3rd to 8th), GED, SAT writing section, and entrance exams for private schools. As a child I always wanted to be a teacher. For some reason, it was always a passion of mines. I always found myself teaching my siblings, cousins, and friends. Since I never became a teacher, I satisfied my passion for teaching by becoming a tutor. It's a job I never get tired of doing. I always look forward to tutoring and to see my students doing well. Most of the subjects that I teach are subjects that I excelled in. Throughout my school years and college years, I was always an honor student, so I capitalized on this by teaching the subjects that I am strong in. Some subjects I always do a refresher by buying books and studying them to enhance my knowledge. This helps me to stay current and to keep me a fresh in that particular subject. Also, I have been tutoring and helping my son throughout his school year. So, this has been a big help to me in learning many subjects all over again.

Hobbies
My hobbies are playing tennis, walking, exercising, dancing, and travelling. I also enjoy watching movies, reading, listening to music and meeting new people from all over the world. I enjoy have stimulating conversation with strangers. It is amazing how much you can learn from other people. It is nice to pour knowledge and ideas into people and to receive the same from other people. We can never know too much.
