Ever since I was 5, I have been playing an instrument. I started out on piano and in the 6th grade I stitched over to the flute, which I have been playing since. Regardless if you want to learn an instrument for fun or go professional, I think it is important for everyone to experience making music no matter your age. Getting a new student who is starting out on an instrument gives me the joy to introduce them to a whole new world. For my experience, I have taken Music appreciation, Music Theory I and II, ear training/sight singing I and II and also piano I and II. I also have been playing flute for 7 years and piano for 5.
